Oceanside is a medium-sized border city on the human/orc border.
At the center of downtown Oceanside there is a colossal tree, which the city was originally built around and is often thought of as a sign of good luck and prosperity. Around the tree is a large marketplace, with roads radiating off in different directions.
Governor Dorbich, the ruler of Oceanside, resides in an almost palatially large Governor's Residence on the highest point in the town. It's a large and imposing building with ornately decorated architecture and interiors.
Down the road from the Governor's residence, and strongly contrasting it, the Oceanside Research Library is a smallish library that has been neglected by public funding and is mainly staffed by Oksidd. The library has, among its sections, a section on magical artifacts, which includes the book Durbuk's 1001 Relics from Days Past and previously had a book on the Third Council before said book was stolen a few weeks ago.
Next door to the library is Nitch's Weaving Shop.
Ryan Blacksmith III owns and operates a blacksmith's shop near the downtown marketplace.
